I turned off the faucet in the kitchen and it "popped". Now it goes fully back and forth, but the water stops when I have the handle placed just right. Is there a way to fix this without replacing the faucet? Please help. What do I do?

sounds like you either stripped the top of the stem or the inside of the handle. which looks stripped to you?
FIRST OFF SHUT THE WATER OFF TO THE KITCHEN SINK.
if it looks like the handle just try to replace it by taking the screw out of the top, if that’s what it has and the pull the handle up to remove it from the stem. if it’s the stem just keep going and look down at the stem, there is usually a nut holding the stem in place, you may need a socket wrench to get the nut off. once the nut is off use a pair of vise grips to hold onto the top of the stem, now turn the stem counter clock wise and it will unscrew from the base that it sits in. take both of those things to the hardware store or plumbing supply house and replace one or both of those things.
there are many different faucets made, and so i’m just giving general instructions for the ones that you may have,
    good luck to ya

Maybe it depends . Some hard ware stores have parts. Shut water off , Take the screw off the top and the nut , guts will come out and bring to hard ware store. If they do not have the part bring home a new faucet. If you are not handy plumber will tell you.
