Hello,
we have a single hand kitchen faucet which started acting up about 1 week ago. When I tried to raise the handle to move it side to side to control the temperature..the handle seemed sort of loose but the small screw was in place and the water pressure seemed lower. Then today it went completely loose (again still with the screw in tact) and the pressure was much much lower. I am not sure what i need to do.
nothing seems to be ‘broken’ from what I can see.
Thank you to all those who tried to help

I have a single lever price fister kitchen faucet that comes out from the base and can become a sprayer. My main issue is with the handle. I can either turn the water on all the way or off. When I pull the handle anywhere in the middle for less water pressure it turns itself off. There is a screw for the handle that I have tightened as much as possible but it still won’t work. How can I fix this? thanks in advance!

My kitchen faucet seemed to be malfunctioning. (But, it would shut off).
I replaced the cartridge. All, seems well except when I tighten the screw that holds handle on, a thin stream of water starts to flow. And, I can’t get it to stop fully with the faucet handle.
Is it possible that I put the cartridge too far down in the tube?
Is there someone else wrong?

Its a lever, not separate knobs. It is loose and wiggles. I have to play with it to get the faucet to stop dripping.
I tried an allen wrench. The one that fits in the whole doesn’t turn. It just gets stuck. What should I do?
The handle it not tight, that is the problem. I tried an allen wrench after reading Earl’s answer and it didn’t work. The allen wrench gets stuck and the handle doesn’t tighten. What else should I try? Could I need a new screw?

I have checked the water lines going in to the faucet and they have plenty of pressure. I have taken off the aerator and cleaned; turned the water on without it on and still nothing. I have disconnected the lines going into the faucet and blown air into the faucet to try to break free any build up in the line but this also had no affect (except making me a little dizzy).
With these "tests" done, I am thinking that there must be a problem inside the faucet handle i.e. the cartridge.
I took off the handle and under that is a plastic piece that turns about a total of 90 degrees (as much as the handle normally would); it also pivots up and down (like the handle as well). I imagine I need to get this piece out in order to get to the cartridge, washer, etc; this is where the real problem starts. This plastic piece does not simply pull up and out and the does not seem to have any type of pin or screw etc holding it in place. It does have "teeth" around it (imagine you are looking into a socket, the teeth are like that). I’m guessing that I need to find a tool to fit in there (if one exists) to unscrew that piece.
Just moved into the house so there is no owners manual available and I cannot seem to find any type of manufacturing label for the faucet. Any help, ideas, answers etc. would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

How do I do this? It has two glass handles. There’s no screw on top of the handles. They are just covered in glass. Do I need a handle puller? If so, what type.
How can I put new handles on to it? Would most handles of similar size work?
